Statement

OFFERTORY

I think of these paintings as an offering to the city of New Orleans. Like items laid on an altar, the images in this show are stand-ins, calling up certain qualities that I associate with the city: the sensuality of music, the seduction of the boudoir, and the radiant suffering of saints.
