Patricia Pilie

Statement

New techniques and light fast materials attracted me to painting watercolor on paper with exciting results. Aspiring to rise above the ordinary and express inner spirit, my still life paintings show the use of the medium in new and unique ways.

Currently, I am working on a series of paintings juxtaposing the still life with landscape by the use of objects such as glass vessels, reflective balls and silk fabric. These paintings push the still life genre to a new level of awareness for the viewer and myself.
