Veronique Molinier
Statement
I developed a taste for, and studied antiques in my early twenties. I like to be surrounded by objects that remind of the past. They provide a sense of familiarity, a serene anchor. Beyond their appealing shapes, colors, and textures, their history inspires me. I paint isolated artifacts, with a sober or abstract background, to let the objects reveal themselves to the viewer.
